Doesn’t need me to say what a difficult year 2020 has been fo so many people, our families and businesses across the globe, not just the here in the UK.
Many of us have lost loved ones. People we knew and worked with. People who have been taken far too early, not just to COVID. Its been a tough year on many levels.
But as we draw a darkened curtain over 2020 and remember those no longer with us, we look forward to a better, brighter, healthier, New Year ahead for people and business everywhere.
We can thank our lucky stars that here at OD we have kept not only well and in good health but we have had a very busy year.
Since starting our web design in Derby back in 1999, we genuinely thought by 2020, that every business must be on the internet by now!
How mistaken we were! We have had a real surge in businesses looking to get online though 2020…not least of course, due to effects of COVID which have bought a rush of new business to our door looking to get a share of a ‘new market’.
For that we are grateful… I guess there is always a silver lining in even the most adverse situations that life throws at us. But even more pleasing is we have seen many successes, with businesses changing how, what and where they sell their goods via an e-commerce website.
We are proud of being one of the first website designers in Derby. We are proud we still serve friends who started our journey with us back in 1999. We are proud to have helped many new an exisiting businesses though what has been a challenging and difficult year for so many.
But above all, we are proud of our customers. Customers we prefer to call our friends. The way many have adapted, changed and flourished is a real testament to the resolve we people have in such difficult times.
2021 will be a tough year again, for sure… the early part no doubt. But I also have no doubt, that we will come through stronger and better equipped to carry on and look forward to a happy, healthy 2021.
Thank you to all who have joined us this year and those that continue to support us. It means a lot. You are a big part of our success.
